This is a postcard of the small cruiser S. M. S. Stettin. The ship was commissioned in 1907. She served both at the Battle of Helgoland and the Battle of Jutland (Skagerrakschlacht). At Jutland, she served as Reconnaissance Group Nr 4’s (4. Aufklärungsgruppe) flagship. After Skagerrakschlacht, she was relegated to duty in a submarine school. She was scrapped by England in 1920 after the Germans had to hand her over. This postcard shows her at the Rendsburger Hochbrücke. It was not mailed.
