POSTCARD – KRONPRINZESSIN CECILIE

$15.00

Kronprinzessin Cecilie (1886-1954) came from Mecklenburg-Schwerin’s royal house. Her father was Grand Duke Friedrich Franz III, and her mother was a Russian Grand Duchess from the Romanov Dynasty. Cecilie married Kronprinz Wilhelm (1882-1951) in 1905. She bore him four sons and two daughters. She, along with her mother-in-law the Kaiserin, was one of Germany’s most-popular female royals, much like a present-day rock star. She was pretty, appeared in many photographs, and was involved in many charities both before and during WW I. She is seen here with a ladies’ group.
