Description
This postcard is of Saxony’s Prince Friedrich Christian (1893-1968). He was König Friedrich August III’s second son. He became the House of Wettin’s heir apparent in 1923. That year, his brother, Crown Prince Georg (1893-1943), renounced his claim to succeed as head of Saxony’s royal family to join the priesthood. Friedrich Christian became the royal family’s head when his father died in 1932. He appears in uniform on the postcard. It was not mailed.
