Description
This postcard shows Prinzregent Luitpold (1821-1912) of Bavaria. He assumed the throne of Bavaria in 1886, when his nephews, König Ludwig II and König Otto, were judged to be mentally incompetent. He is wearing a uniform in this 1850 photo. The postcard was not mailed.
