Description
This postcard shows Prinzessin Friedrich Leopold and her son. She was one of the Kaiserin’s younger sisters. In 1889, Louise married Prince Friedrich Leopold of Prussia. He was the youngest child and only son of Prince Frederick Charles of Prussia, and a great grandson of Frederick William III of Prussia. Louise often represented her sister, the Kaiserin, at social engagements and visits to hospitals. Although she and Friedrich Leopold had four children, three of them died young. The young son pictured with her, also Friedrich Leopold, was the only one to survive her.
