Description
This postcard shows Princess Marie Auguste (1898-1983) of Anhalt, the wife of Prinz Joachim (1890-1920), Kaiser Wilhelm II’s youngest son. She bore Joachim one son before their divorce and his suicide in 1920. In this shot she is standing in a coat with flower-embroidered cuffs and an ermine stole. Her hands are inside the matching ermine muff, and she sports her stylish feathered chapeau.
