This postcard shows Prinzessin Viktoria Luise (1892-1980. She was Kaiser Wilhelm II and Kaiserin Augusta Viktoria’s only daughter. She was married in 1913 to Herzog Ernst August of Braunschweig (1887-1953), and became the Duchess of Braunschweig. She had five children (4 males and one female). The postcard shows the Prussian Princess (and Braunschweig Duchess) holding her eldest son, Prinz Ernst August, in 1914. The young Prinz was born earlier that year. The postcard was produced to benefit Braunschweig troops fighting in WW I. It features her reproduction autograph at the bottom of the postcard’s obverse.
