This is a wonderful postcard showing the royal family of Braunschweig. Included are Duke Ernst August, his Duchess (and Princess of Prussia), Viktoria Luise, and two of their sons, Duke Ernst August and Duke Georg. The elder Ernst August is dressed in his duchy’s feldgrau, Husaren-Regiment Nr 17 uniform. The two younger dukes are dressed in the uniforms of the Kaiserliche Marine. They wear the battleship S. M. S. Braunschweig’s cap tally on their mützen.
