PRUSSIA – BADGE – ARMY LAND PILOT
This is a Prussian land Pilot Badge. There were three types of badges that were used. The most desirable was the two piece hollow that was often made in silver. Following that were the one piece solid badges, then the badges that were stamped similar to wound badges.
The one piece solid are the second most desirable and from my experience are actually less frequently seen than the other two.
This example is made from a base metal. Thus the patina is different from the other two.
There is no hallmarking on the reverse. The pin is sturdy looking.
