This is a color lithograph of two men from Husaren-Regiment Nr 17 from the Duchy of Braunschweig. I am told by one of our eagle eyed readers that this lithograph comes from a book written by Heinrich Ambros Eckert and Dietrich Monten by the name of “Das Deutsche Bundesheer 1835-1843.” There were a total of 421 color plates in this book and this is number 258. The lithograph shows one officer in an Interim Attila, and the other officer in an Überrock. They are mounted on horses. The lithograph measures 14 1/4″ x 9 3/4.” It can be displayed as is or framed.
