Description
PRUSSIA / HANOVER – SHOULDER BOARDS – MAJOR – INFANTERIE-REGIMENT NR 73
This is a pair of shoulder boards for Infanterie-Regiment 73. This regiment was previously a Hanoverian regiment. After the Austro-Prussian War of 1866, Hanover was annexed into Prussia.
This officer was a Major and thus would have either commanded a Bataillone or might have been on the staff of the regimental commander as his Deputy.
Each shoulder board has the regimental designation in brass. The reverse does not have the underlay or the straps for the slip on function. These display well and are bargain priced.
This is a consignment item.
