PRUSSIA – MERIT CROSS FOR WAR AID – VERDIENSTKREUZ FÜR KRIEGSHILFE
The Verdienstkreuz für Kriegshilfe (Merit Cross for War Aid) is a wartime civil decoration from Prussia. It was awarded for patriotic war aid service, especially on the home front. Its obverse displays Kaiser Wilhelm II’s royal cypher. The reverse exhibits the legend, “Für Kriegs Hilfsdienst” (For War Aid Service). It comes with an original ribbon.
