SAXONY – LONG SERVICE AWARD – 2nd CLASS – WITH MINIATURE – LANDWEHR
The Landwehr was the reserve service (similar to the National Guard in the U.S. Army) for those men who had completed their mandatory active duty service. Once a man completed active duty, he was then assigned to the Landwehr. This delightful little set features the actual full size award and a miniature. This is the first time I have ever seen the miniature.
