Description
This is a postcard of the Battleship S. M. S. Pommern. She was commissioned in 1907, and was one of the older battleships that saw WW I fleet service. She was one of the five ships of the “Deutschland” battleship class. She saw action at the Battle of Jutland (Skagerrak), where she was sunk by British torpedoes on 1 June 1916. She is seen steaming at sea. The postcard was never mailed.
