Description
This is an interesting display card showing the Graf Zeppelin (LZ-127) flying over a mountain. The large-format postage stamp measures 4 1/8″ x 5.” It is for 500 Francs from the République du Niger. The stamp has a special cancellation, dated 1976. The display card measures 1 1/2″ x 2 1/2.” It shows the many cities the Graf Zeppelin visited on her world voyages. Included are Rio de Janeiro, Cairo, London, Séville, Spain, Rome, Berlin, New York, and Tokyo.
