Description
Stickpins having two or three medals at the top are seen occasionally. They were used with or without a medal bar for a veteran while wearing a business suit.
This is a handsome example of this type of stickpin. It features, from left to right:
- 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class
- Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Crown and Swords from Bavaria
- Hindenburg Cross for Combatants
This stickpin has an unusual locking device at the base of the pin. Besides being a security device to keep the stickpin from falling off a garment, the lock gives the stickpin a rather unusual look.
This is an attractive example.
