Description
This Vivat Ribbon commemorates the Battle of Gilgenburg and Ortelsburg, which took place on 29 August 1914. Generaloberst Paul von Hindenburg was the commander. The ribbon is red in color and measures 15 3/4″ x 2 1/2.” Vivat Ribbons generally were issued under the auspices of the German Red Cross. This ribbon is in excellent condition.
